Baseball Recap: Mountainburg Has No Trouble Against Wonderview

Mountainburg never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Wonderview Daredevils as the Mountainburg Dragons made off with a 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Ryan Allen made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Caedmon Cowett was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallon Turner, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Mountainburg's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountainburg will square off against Mulberry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wonderview, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Bigelow at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
