League recap: Waltham's Dwyer delivers best pitching performance from past week

Dual County's top pitcher this week was Waltham's Joe Dwyer. He struck out eight batters this week.

The Hawks had a successful week, as they won four total games to lead the league. Waltham beat Weston 13-0, St. Peter-marian 6-5, Newton South 7-6 and the Lions 7-6.

The Hawks boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

Waltham struck out a league-leading 43 times over the past week. The league's worst in that category with 110 strikeouts on the season are the Hawks.
