Basketball Recap: Thomson Comes Up Short

Thomson lost against Butler back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Thomson Bulldogs fell just short of the Butler Bulldogs by a score of 55-53. Thomson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Thomson lost, don't look at Jer'Meer Hatcher. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave Hatcher a new career-high. Jaris Sinkfield was another key player, putting up seven points.

Thomson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Butler, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Thomson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burke County will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Thomson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Butler, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Glenn Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
