Basketball Recap: Omaha Lightning Comes Up Short

Omaha Lightning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Omaha R Roadrunners. While losing is never fun, Omaha Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Omaha R is ranked 93rd).

Omaha Lightning's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Omaha R, they pushed their record up to 17-8 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Omaha Lightning nor Omaha R have any future games scheduled.
