Soccer Recap: Davenport North Comes Up Short

If Davenport North was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Washington on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Assumption Knights on Tuesday, falling 4-0. Davenport North haven't had much luck with Assumption recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Davenport North's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Assumption, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davenport North will welcome Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Assumption, they will take on Wahlert at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Assumption are on a three-game streak of home wins, Wahlert a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
