Volleyball Recap: Rock Hills Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Rock Hills rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Clifton-Clyde Eagles. The Grizzlies were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Grizzlies were just returning the favor.

Rock Hills not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Clifton-Clyde to exactly 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Rock Hills' offense was headlined by Savannah Coil and Halle Mizner, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Bethany Simmelink and her 24 assists.

Rock Hills' victory bumped their record up to 36-1-1. As for Clifton-Clyde, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-18.

Coincidentally, Rock Hills and Clifton-Clyde will both be playing Rural Vista [Hope/White City] the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Heat at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Grizzlies will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
