Basketball Recap: Branson Comes Up Short

Branson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Hornets. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Branson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Branson will face off against McDonald County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McDonald County will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Branson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillcrest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-51 loss against West Plains on the 24th.
