Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Valley). They enjoyed a cozy 74-57 victory over the Riverside Chargers on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Chargers last Friday, they had to take a 61-42 loss.

Boston Wood had an outrageously good game as he went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (86%). Zaden Wolf was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Central Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They are 16-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Molt, who posted 12 points and three steals. Molt is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dane Schalk, who shot 47% from the field en route to 18 points.

The win made it two in a row for Central Valley and bumps their season record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Riverside, they moved to 15-10 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Central Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-47 loss against St. Patrick's on the 3rd. Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
