Orono had won five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 7-9 to make it six. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Dexter Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Riots, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Dexter, they moved to 13-3 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Dexter's part, Kody Kimball was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Kimball has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 11 times he's played.

Coming up, Orono will venture away from home to challenge Old Town at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dexter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
