Friday just wasn't the day for Russellville's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Madison Academy Mustangs on Friday. The Golden Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Coltan Oliver was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Russellville's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Madison Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Russellville will face off against Mars Hill Bible at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Madison Academy, they will take on White County in a tournament on Monday.
