Recap: Mohave Thunderbirds vs. Rancho Rams

On Tuesday, Mohave was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to Rancho. Mohave has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Claudia Vargas-Arellano was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six steals and five assists for Rancho. Vargas-Arellano continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Dagons, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Mohave's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Rancho, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Mohave won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Green Valley at 10:30 a.m. on December 20th. Green Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Lake Havasu will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 222nd in Arizona, while Rancho is ranked 59th in Nevada).
