Rim of the World extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Tatum Ortiz. The Fighting Scots came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 31-26 W against the Grand Terrace Titans thanks in part to Ortiz, who rushed for 301 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 167 rushing yards dating back to last season.

One reason for the win was Rim of the World's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Titus Ramirez and Jaden Montano certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ramirez picked up 118 receiving yards and one TD, while Montano threw for 169 yards and one touchdown.

Rim of the World's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Grand Terrace, they moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rim of the World will venture away from home to take on Chaffey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Terrace, after each having a week off, they and Colton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on October 9.
