Soccer Game Preview: Catoosa vs. Mannford

The Catoosa Indians will challenge the Mannford Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Catoosa has three straight wins, Mannford has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Catoosa is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Wagoner, who was ranked 17th at the time (Catoosa was ranked fifth). Catoosa skirted past Wagoner 3-2.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Mannford's offense. They fell 2-0 to Victory Christian last Friday.

Catoosa's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three matchups. As for Mannford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Catoosa came out on top in a nail-biter against Mannford when the teams last played back in April of 2017, sneaking past 4-3. Does Catoosa have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mannford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
