Basketball Recap: Central Skates Past Seneca with Ease

Central had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 54-point drubbing they dealt Seneca on Tuesday. The Central Yellow Jackets blew past the Seneca Red Hawks, posting a 69-15 victory. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Several Red Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Janell Julue, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and five steals. Julue is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points over those games. As for Seneca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Central has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Shawnee on the 7th. As for Seneca, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-26 victory against Waggener on the 7th.
