            Baseball Recap: Strath Haven Panthers vs. Haverford Fords        
        
		
        
        
            Strath Haven had lost three straight on the road, but  on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-5 to make it four. They came up short against  the Haverford Fords, falling  9-1. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fords apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
As for Haverford, the  victory keeps they at an undefeated 13-0. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average this season.
For Haverford's part,  Jimmy Boyle made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out nine batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Boyle has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Campbell McCormack was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  he has  launched this season.  Ryan Cassidy was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Strath Haven is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Ridley  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Haverford will  take on  rival Marple Newtown  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday.
