Volleyball Recap: Plainfield North Tigers vs. Lincoln Railsplitters
Plainfield North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Lincoln Railsplitters.
While Plainfield North had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20.
Peyton Sasse was nothing short of spectacular for Lincoln: she had nine kills, six digs, two aces, and a block. Sasse is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Tedrick, who had three digs and a block.
Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Lincoln, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-13 record.
Plainfield North is on the road again on Saturday to play Peoria Notre Dame at 2:00 p.m. As for Lincoln, they will take on Herscher at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
