Basketball Recap: Gloucester City Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Gloucester City Lions were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-48 to the Shawnee Renegades.

Despite the loss, Gloucester City still got an impressive performance from Marcus Flagg, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 18 points along with six assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jake Smith, who went 5 of 9 en route to 10 points and five rebounds.

Gloucester City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Shawnee, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.
