Windsor and Smithton are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Windsor Greyhounds will head out on the road to square off against the Smithton Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Windsor will be strutting in after a victory while Smithton will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, Windsor made easy work of Stover and carried off an 18-8 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Windsor.
Meanwhile, sadly, Smithton is still looking for their first win of the season after five contests. They fell victim to a rough 9-3 loss at the hands of Green Ridge on Thursday.
Windsor's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Smithton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Windsor took their win against Smithton in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 19-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windsor since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
