Baseball Recap: North Canyon Comes Up Short

The North Canyon Rattlers came up short against the Canyon View Jaguars on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Canyon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Dye, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

North Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Canyon View, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Canyon will welcome Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Canyon has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Canyon View, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Paradise Valley at 3:45 p.m. Canyon View's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Paradise Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
