Baseball Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 21-0 to the South Fulton Red Devils. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 33-5 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Humboldt saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davon Pettigrew, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Kamarion Campbell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Humboldt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18-1. As for South Fulton, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Coming up, Humboldt will face off against Union City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Fulton, they will take on West Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
