Baseball Recap: Tishomingo County Takes a Loss

Tishomingo County had taken Booneville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Braves fell 9-6 to the Blue Devils. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Jevan McDuffy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Brooks Marlar was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Tishomingo County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Booneville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-14.

Tishomingo County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against East Union on the 8th. As for Booneville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Mantachie on the 8th.
