Football Recap: Bolivar Central Tigers vs. Fayette Ware Wildcats
Bolivar Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Fayette Ware Wildcats by a score of 21-14. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Bolivar Central had a senior duo take command as Noah Clayton threw for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 13 passes and Jayden Kessler rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Anthony Jones got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Bolivar Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jones picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
Bolivar Central will square off against Fayette Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayette Ware, they will host Bolton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fayette Ware is looking for their season?s first win.
