Basketball Recap: Deer Isle-Stonington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Greenville last Saturday, Deer Isle-Stonington came back down to earth. The Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners lost 34-11 to the George Stevens Academy Eagles on Thursday. The game marked the Mariners' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Deer Isle-Stonington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for George Stevens Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Deer Isle-Stonington will head out on the road to face off against Bangor Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for George Stevens Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Woodland at 1:00 p.m. George Stevens Academy is facing Woodland at the right time seeing as Woodland is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
