Basketball Recap: Champlain Valley Union Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with St. Johnsbury Academy

On Monday, Champlain Valley Union faced St. Johnsbury Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Champlain Valley Union Redhawks received a blow as they fell 55-38 to the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers. The Redhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Champlain Valley Union's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for St. Johnsbury Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
