Volleyball Game Preview: Bolingbrook Raiders vs. Plainfield East Bengals

The Bolingbrook Raiders will challenge the Plainfield East Bengals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Bolingbrook came up short against Joliet West and fell 2-0.

Bolingbrook was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Joliet West work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Plainfield East didn't have quite enough to beat Yorkville on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Bengals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Plainfield East sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 17-25, 25-21.

Bolingbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 26-7. As for Plainfield East, their loss dropped their record down to 12-22.

Bolingbrook skirted past Plainfield East 2-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
