The Fairfield Falcons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Oxford by a score of 28-21 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Fairfield, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Fairfield was led to victory by Mikayla Pugh and Erin Schwertfeger. Pugh scored 12 points along with 3 steals, while Schwertfeger scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.

Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Oxford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
