Softball Recap: Randolph-Henry Statesmen vs. Central Wise Warriors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Randolph-Henry had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Central Wise Warriors by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Randolph-Henry.
Danner Allen was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Allen has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season. Allen was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Alyssa Townsend was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
On Central Wise's side, Kaelyn Dales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Central Wise saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Wells, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
