Basketball Game Preview: Upland Highlanders/Scots vs. Palm Springs Indians

The Upland Highlanders/Scots and the Palm Springs Indians will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Upland is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Upland is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since November 26, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Rancho Cucamonga by a score of 63-61. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders/Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Cougars are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Palm Springs made easy work of Shadow Hills on Friday and carried off a 47-27 win. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Palm Springs' victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Upland, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
