Brattleboro is 8-2 against Burr & Burton since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Brattleboro Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Burr & Burton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Brattleboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season.

Brattleboro is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Hartford on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Brattleboro lost 60-39 to Hartford. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked tenth).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Oscar Korson, who posted 15 points. Dillon Jenks was another key player, putting up four points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Burr & Burton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Essex 71-66.

This is the second loss in a row for Brattleboro and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Burr & Burton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Brattleboro came up short against Burr & Burton when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 52-48. Can Brattleboro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
