Football Game Preview: Genesee/Colton WA vs. Wallace Miners

Genesee/Colton WA will venture away from home to take on the Wallace Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated (Genesee/Colton WA has four wins , while Wallace has five dating back to last season).

Last Saturday, Genesee/Colton WA humbled Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] with a 56-24 victory. Fans of Genesee/Colton WA have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Wallace found their leader in sophomore Cooper Miller, who rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 174 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 146 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Miller. Lennox Radford was another key player, gaining 118 total yards and two touchdowns.

Wallace was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 302 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 253 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Genesee/Colton WA's record is now 4-0. As for Wallace, their record now sits at 5-0.

Genesee/Colton WA suffered a grim 52-28 defeat to Wallace when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Miller, who rushed for 170 yards and four scores on only 15 carries, and also threw for 101 yards on nine of 15 attempts.
