Tuscarora is 9-1 against Rock Ridge since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Phoenix at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Heritage hit Tuscarora with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies lost 8-2 to the Pride. The Huskies' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Tuscarora saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Kozikowski, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rock Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Battlefield.

Tuscarora's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-10. As for Rock Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Tuscarora took their victory against Rock Ridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
