Two dominant backs in Brayden Tyson and Marquis Fennell are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Brookwood Broncos will face off against the Valdosta Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Brookwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They beat Archer by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 42-21. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Broncos were the (much) better team in the second half.

Bryce Green and Gary Chatman were among the main playmakers for Brookwood as the former rushed for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries and the latter rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only six carries. Those 129 rushing yards gave Green a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brookwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 367 rushing yards. They rushed for 99 more rushing yards than Archer's also-impressive total of 268.
Brookwood's defense stepped up as well, laying out Jordan Do five times. Xzavier Pfister was especially locked on to Archer's QB and sacked him twice. Pfister is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another thorn in Archer's side was Daniel Diggs, who picked up a sack, made 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, Valdosta had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-28 victory over the Falcons. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Falcons are ranked 145th).
Valdosta's win came from a few key players Brookwood will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyrieke Wade, who threw for 264 yards and three TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. Prince Jean was another key player, gaining 103 total yards and three touchdowns.
Brookwood's record now sits at 10-2. As for Valdosta, their record is now 10-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Brookwood has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 235.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Valdosta struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 259.9 rushing yards.
