Basketball Recap: Aubree Ervans' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Reading over Stockbridge

Reading was the 50-36 winner over Stockbridge when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Reading Rangers fell just short of the Stockbridge Panthers by a score of 37-34 on Friday. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aubree Ervans, who posted nine points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Jenna Londeau, who had seven points.

Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Stockbridge, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reading will venture away from home to challenge Colon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Reading is facing Colon at the right time seeing as Colon is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Stockbridge, they will face off against Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stockbridge will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
