Fairfax takes loss despite strong efforts from Elijah Pablos and Vinny Rodriguez

Recap: Fairfax Stampede vs. McClintock Chargers

The Fairfax Stampede were the 67-62 winner over the McClintock Chargers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Fairfax was dealt a 81-24 defeat at the hands of McClintock on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fairfax has scored all season.

Vinny Rodriguez and Elijah Pablos certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Rodriguez scored 11 points along with two steals, while Pablos scored nine points along with six rebounds.

McClintock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josh McManaway led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taimari Jones, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.

Fairfax's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for McClintock, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Fairfax will head out on the road to challenge McClintock at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. McClintock is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.7 points per game.
