Volleyball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Clairemont Chieftains

High Tech SD is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will welcome the Clairemont Chieftains at 6:15 p.m. High Tech SD is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

High Tech SD came up short against Mater Dei Catholic on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

High Tech SD took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Clairemont not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0). They blew past Madison 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won seven in a row.

One reason for the win was Clairemont's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-12.

High Tech SD's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Clairemont, their victory bumped their record up to 16-14.

High Tech SD took their win against Clairemont in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Storm have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chieftains turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
