Basketball Game Preview: Williston Red Devils vs. Rickards Raiders

The Williston Red Devils will square off against the Rickards Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after six-games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

Williston will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 50) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 victory over Gainesville.

Williston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashlyn Young led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Tiona Wilkinson, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, Rickards was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Florida State University High School 59-19. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 36 points or more this season.

Williston's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Rickards, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
