After a string of six wins, Jurupa Hills's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Eisenhower Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Alejandro Preciado put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Preciado was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Preciado wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aaden Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Jurupa Hills' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 17-5. As for Eisenhower, they moved to 10-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
