Volleyball Game Preview: Benton Zephyrs vs. River Ridge Timberwolves

Benton hasn't had much luck against River Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Zephyrs will head out on the road to square off against the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, Benton came up short against Cassville and fell 3-1. While the Zephyrs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Comets 25-14 in the first set.

Benton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, River Ridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Potosi on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

River Ridge took Potosi into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 25-16, 21-25, 17-25, 25-10, 15-12.

Benton's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for River Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Benton might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from River Ridge in their previous matchup on September 9th. Can the Zephyrs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
