Softball Recap: Hanover Area Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Hanover Area was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against the Crestwood Comets, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawkeyes of the 17-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Natalie Weidner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Hanover Area dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Crestwood, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Hanover Area and Crestwood will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Hanover Area is set to take on their familiar foe Berwick at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crestwood will challenge rival Tunkhannock at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
