It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but French Camp Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Leake County Gators a 13-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Logan Wright was incredible, going 2-for-3 with six RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Withers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

French Camp Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

French Camp Academy pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Leake County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: French Camp Academy beat the Gators by a score of 19-1 later that day.
