Basketball Recap: Atmore Christian Takes a Loss

Atmore Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 67-47 to the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-50 back in December of 2024.

Aletheia Christian Academy was led to victory by Kendrick Williamson and Daniel Bailey. Williamson went 7 of 15 to rack up 18 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists, while Bailey dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. Those five assists gave Williamson a new career-high. Beau Burke was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Atmore Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Atmore Christian nor Aletheia Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
