Recap: Antelope Rams vs. North Valley Christian Academy Lions
After a string of three wins, the Antelope Rams's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 72-58 bruising from North Valley Christian Academy. Antelope has not had much luck with North Valley Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenan Ragels, who scored 17 points. Ragels is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alizay Figueroa, who scored 15 points.
Antelope's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Antelope will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against The Gregory School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gregory School is on a five-game streak of home wins, North Valley Christian Academy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
