Volleyball Recap: Caston Comes Up Short

Caston lost against Triton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Caston ultimately came up short, they really made Triton work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 29-27.

Despite the loss, Caston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ellie Zartman had 20 assists and 16 digs. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Zartman.

Caston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Triton, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.

Caston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lakeland Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Triton, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against South Central on the 9th.
