Baseball Recap: More Has No Trouble Against Pinewood

More won the last time they faced Pinewood and things went their way on Friday too. More was the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Pinewood. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Corr, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Sean Selway was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Corr wasn't the only one working in the hit department: More kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pinewood only managed six hits.

The win made it two in a row for More and bumps their season record up to 3-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Pinewood, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, More will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lynbrook at 11:00 a.m. More's pitchers better be ready for this one: Lynbrook has averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Pinewood, they are taking a road trip to take on MacDonald at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
