Baseball Recap: Seventy-First Comes Up Short at Home Against American Leadership Academy-Johnston

Seventy-First unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 18-1 to the American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots on Wednesday.

Seventy-First saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Mikkelsen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seventy-First will square off against Westover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they will challenge Manteo at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
