Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Windber

Windber waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Rockwood Rockets as they made off with a 12-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Rylee Baer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Riley Mock also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Windber always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockwood only posted an OBP of .261.

Windber's record is now 8-2. As for Rockwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windber will challenge Penn Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockwood, they will square off against Greater Johnstown at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
