Soccer Recap: Heartland Comes Up Short

Heartland's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Center Place Golden Eagles. Heartland haven't had much luck with Center Place recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Heartland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Center Place, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heartland will take on Overland Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Center Place, they will head out to take on Clinton Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Center Place will need to watch out since Clinton Christian Academy have now posted at least four goals in their last five games.
