Preview: Ben Lomond Scots vs. Morgan Trojans
The Ben Lomond Scots will head out on the road to take on the Morgan Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ben Lomond has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 3.
On Wednesday, Ben Lomond came up short against Grantsville and fell 52-41. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ben Lomond in their matchups with Grantsville: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite their loss, Ben Lomond saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jake East, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Jonathan Alcarez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Morgan pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Union 64-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (55), Morgan still had to take the loss.
Ben Lomond's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Morgan, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Ben Lomond came up short against Morgan in their previous meeting back in January, falling 63-58. Can Ben Lomond avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
