Volleyball Recap: Anna Brunsberg and Lauren Paradise Secure Win for Southwest Christian

Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Southwest Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lakers. The victory continues a trend for the Stars in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won three in a row.

Southwest Christian took Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 15-9.

Leading Southwest Christian to victory were Lauren Paradise and Anna Brunsberg. Paradise had 33 digs and five assists, while Brunsberg had 16 digs. Paradise is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Southwest Christian's win bumped their record up to 19-14. As for Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.
