Baseball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Purdue Polytechnic finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (13-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The game marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

The loss snapped Purdue Polytechnic's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record. As for Heritage Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Purdue Polytechnic is taking a road trip to take on Knightstown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Techies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Heritage Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.9, the Indy Genesis 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
